SUPERVISION & COACHING

Discover your own development paths with supervision & coaching

Supervision is a scientifically based and practice-oriented concept for person- and organisation-related counselling in the world of work (DGSv 2020).
In supervision or coaching, questions, problems, case studies from everyday working life will be analysed and reflected.
The p r o f e s s i o n a l role and your concrete actions are put in relation to primary tasks, structures of the organisation as well as your working relationship with colleagues/supervisors/customers/clients/students/patients.

Apart from the history of the origins of terms, there isn’t currently a clear, generally accepted scientific definition that defines “coaching” and “supervision” distinctively.
While in today’s business world the term supervision is still used more in the non-profit sector, coaching is often associated with (economic) performance goals.

What is important to us in both concepts is the attitude – willingness to shape, move or develop situations in the work context – and the common understanding about the guidance
process, as this is the prerequisite for effective processes. We are happy to discuss with you what and where you want to move. We support you to moderate a dialogue at a safe space for all stakeholders during the coaching process, where challenges are discussed commonly and solutions are developed in a co-creative way.

Which topics are dealt with in supervision or coaching, for example?

Basically, the topics are as individual as you are. Here are a few examples of possible topics:

• The own role as …. (management & leader/team member/… etc.) reflect & implement
• Effective cooperation in teams and groups
• Mastering different demands (career/job/care/family etc.) well
• Conflict & boundary management (e.g. between different levels, in the team, personally)
• Individual issues or those of the group in relation to the work context

LEADERSHIP COACHING

Leadership coaching – also for teams

As leadership team, you are at the centre of the organisation and are addressee for questions, criticism and wishes of many different stakeholder groups inside and outside your organisation.

If you want your work to feel more like fun again instead of only challenges, if you want to work better together as a TEAM or if you want to focus on your actual tasks, then you leadership coaching is a good way to move forward.

Thematic fields can be, for example:

  • Reflecting on & implementing one’s own role as a leader
  • Leading interdisciplinary (virtual) teams
  • Conduct feedback & appraisals
  • Shaping generational change and handover processes in a meaningful way
  •  Effective communication with stakeholders (with management, teaching staff, pupils, parents, parents’ councils, all-day care teams, other committees or councils)
  • Resolving conflicts – with management, in working groups, or colleagues etc.
